My little stage race, which pales in comparison to the Tour de France, was definitely a challenge for me, pushing myself to the limit three times in just two days.
This is a great time of year for cycling. However, lately I have found myself dragging my feet rather than running out the door to ride my bike.
The routes were definitely challenging but it was the farms and locally sourced foods that made this ride a truly unique and special one.
Participating in Strava can be a lot of fun. However, it can quickly become an obsession and source of pressure as it takes on a life of its own.
It’s a beautiful sunny day and you are enjoying a wonderful ride on your bike when all of a sudden you realize you have a flat tire. Here are the steps you need to take in order to get the flat changed and continue on with your ride.
It is always frustrating when your bike is not working properly. However, if you spend some time learning the basics of how your bike works you can probably save yourself some frustration by being able to prevent or solve more minor problems yourself.

I shifted into the next easiest gear and glanced down seeing my heart rate was already up around 175bpm. I didn’t look behind me, but I could almost feel the woman who started after me breathing down my neck as we made slow progress toward the top.
